Privacy Policy

The short version. Your calendar data is stored on your device. We do not receive it, store it, or send it anywhere. There is no account to create. We do not sell your information to anyone, ever.
Who we are
The Solution is a family calendar app published by Canton & Co. LLC, an Ohio limited liability company located in Cleveland, Ohio. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Canton & Co. LLC, and "the app" means The Solution for iOS and Android.
Information the app handles
Calendar data
When you connect a Google Account, the app reads and writes calendar events using Google's Calendar API. That data is stored locally on your device so the app works quickly and offline. It is not transmitted to Canton & Co. LLC and we have no ability to view it.
Google Account credentials
Authorization tokens issued by Google are stored in your device's secure storage (Keychain on iOS, Keystore on Android). We never see your Google password. You can disconnect an account at any time in the app, and you can revoke the app's access from your Google Account permissions page.
Theme generation
If you use the AI theme feature, the words you type (for example, "ocean") are sent to our theming service, which uses them to generate a color scheme. These prompts are not stored, are not associated with your identity, and never include calendar data.
Purchases
Purchases are processed by Apple and Google. We receive confirmation that a purchase occurred so the app can unlock. We do not receive or store your payment details.
Support email
If you email us, we have your message and your email address. We use it to answer you and nothing else.
What we do not do
- We do not create user accounts or maintain a database of our users.
- We do not sell or rent personal information.
- We do not use your calendar data for advertising or to train machine learning models.
- We do not include third-party advertising or tracking software in the app.
Google API Services disclosure
The app's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically, calendar data obtained through Google APIs is used only to provide and improve the calendar features you see in the app, is not transferred to others except as required by law, and is not used for advertising.
Children
The app is designed to be used by families, including on a shared kitchen display. It does not require anyone to create an account and it does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Any calendar information a child sees is the family calendar data already stored on your device.
Your choices
- Disconnect any connected Google Account from within the app.
- Revoke access entirely at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- Delete the app. Because calendar data is stored on your device, removing the app removes the local copy.
Security
Data stays on your device and is protected by your device's own security, including the passcode or biometric lock you have set. Keeping your device locked and updated is the most effective protection for this data.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that affects how information is handled, we will update this page and change the effective date above.
