Any repeating cycle you like. Set the days, set the length, and it repeats.
No fixed split. The example above uses a 5 day cycle: 3 days with Parent A, then 2 with Parent B. Set your own days and length in the app.
What it is like
This exists because plenty of families do not fit a named pattern. Rotating shifts. A week on, week off work rota. Military schedules. Long haul flying. Splits like 60/40 and 70/30 that nobody has given a name to.
It is also where you land if you built something over years that works and you have no intention of replacing it. You should not have to.
Suits
Shift workers, anyone on a rotating rota, families across time zones, and anyone whose schedule was designed around a real constraint rather than a template.
Harder if
The cycle is long or irregular. Kids internalise a two week pattern reasonably quickly, and a five week one usually never gets memorised by anyone. This is the pattern that most needs to be written down where everyone can see it, and a tablet on the kitchen wall does more work here than in any other schedule.
The mistake people make
Building something so precise that a single swapped weekend breaks it. Leave room for real life, because there will be a wedding, a school trip and a hospital visit.
Putting it on a calendar
Once you have picked something, the app will build it. Choose the pattern, set the start date, and it writes the whole schedule into a shared calendar both houses can see. Change it later and it rebuilds without you redoing the year by hand.
